Before getting his broker’s license, Ben worked for C3 Presents, which was the largest independent concert promoter in the world. He also worked in education technology before turning his attention solely to real estate. Ben was drawn towards a career in real estate after purchasing his first home. As he experienced the process from the buyer's perspective, he knew that helping people purchase and sell their homes would be exciting and challenging. Throughout his career, Ben has developed a strong network of professional and personal relationships across the region. He works with a broad spectrum of clients, many of which come directly through referrals. But, Ben has a particular soft spot for young homebuyers searching for their first place, whether looking for a condo close to the downtown action, a starter home for a family, or a quiet Hill Country property to enjoy the beautiful Texas sunsets.
A longtime Central Texan, Ben grew up in San Antonio and got his BA in Speech Communications at Texas State University in San Marcos and Austin has been his home since 2000. Having lived all over Austin, Ben has firsthand experience in many of Austin's neighborhoods. He loves helping clients to find the right neighborhood for their lifestyle, with candid feedback about schools, commuting times/traffic, walkability, and projected area growth. Ben understands that so much of what people buy when they invest in a home is a lifestyle. Community is a crucial component of that. Ben's commitment to matching clients with the perfect home in an ideal neighborhood is one reason they often recommend Ben to their friends and family. Ben views referrals from happy clients as the highest form of a complement of his service approach, as he strives to create lifelong clients.
Ben is passionate about giving back to causes he cares about, namely the Human Rights Campaign and Ubuntu, a commerce and social impact platform helping mothers and children in Kenya. When he's not working on behalf of his clients, he can be found playing golf, enjoying live music, working out, and BBQing with his friends. Ben's love for Austin runs deep, but he also likes to stamp his passport once in a while, with Canada and Australia being his two favorite getaways.
